Kyle and the Knifeworks

I grew up with an interest in medieval and fantasy arms and armor, playing with wooden swords, and with thoughts of becoming a smith. What actually happened was i got a B.A. in Art History and then spent a decade coaching strength and condition.

After fixing up a machete to do yard work i re-discovered that old interest and quickly began making knives. For me knife making is a satisfying mix of art and science, tool, beauty, and challenge.

Knot’s End

The name is inspired by the story of Alexander the great and the Gordian Knot. Alexander, facing the challenge, didn't try to untangle it, but instead, cut it in half with his sword. The decisiveness and creativity has stuck with me, and while I don’t aspire to conquer Asia, I do pursue improvement and eventual greatness in my work.
